Elections

At the annual meeting of the Female Hebrew Sewing Society of Philadelphia, held on Sunday, the 28th of Tishry, 5604, (October 22nd,) the following ladies were elected officers for the current year:

Miss Louisa B. Hart, first Directress; Miss Blooma Hart, second Directress; Miss Simha C. Peixotto, Treasurer; Miss Josephine Bomeisler, Secretary; and Misses Rachel Pesoa, Charlotte Hendricks, Esther Solis, Jessica Lyons and Amelia J. Allen, Managers.

At the annual meeting of the Female Hebrew Benevolent Society of Philadelphia, held on wednesday, the 8th of Heshvan, 5604, (1st of November, 1843,) the following ladies were elected officers for the ensuing year:

Mrs. Phila Pesoa, first Directress; Mrs. Richea Hays, second Directress; Mrs. Anna Allen, Treasurer; Miss Rebecca Gratz, Secretary; and Mrs. Esther Hart, Mrs. Rebecca Moss, Mrs. Sarah Hart, Mrs. Sarah Phillips, Mrs. Hetty Samuel, Mrs. Rebecca C. Hart, Mrs. Rebecca C. Isaacks, Miss Rachel Pesoa, and Miss Simha C. Peixotto, Managers.

The Board of Trustees of the Congregation Shearith Israel, of New York, now consist of the following gentlemen:

Benjamin Nathan, President (Parnass); Samuel N. Judah, Vice-President (Segan): David Hart, Treasurer; Isaac N. Phillips, Jacob L. Seixas, Solomon I. Josephs, Jacob Abrahams, Trustees.

The Board of officers of the Congregation Benai Jeshurun, of New York, for the year 5604, consist of the following gentlemen:

At an annual meeting of the Hebrew Congregation Shanarai Chessed, of New Orleans, held on the 22d October, the following gentlemen were elected officers to serve the ensuing year:
